Staying in West Des Moines. . .

Dec 8, 2014

So this past week was transfers and Elder Coy and I are staying in West Des Moines! So I’ll be here for Christmas, which will be fun! And we just had our ward Christmas party this past Saturday, and we’ll be having our Christmas Zone Conference tomorrow, so it’s really starting to feel a lot like Christmas! We also watched the First Presidency’s Christmas Devotional last night at a member’s home, and it was really great, so you should watch it if you didn’t.

Anyways, you should have already heard about it, but there is an amazing video the church put out called “He is the Gift” which just talks about Christ being the true gift of Christmas. We got a big box of these pass a long cards that have a link to christmas.lds.org that has the video and we’ve been passing them out to as many people as we can. This Spirit that is here so strong this time of year is the Christmas Spirit, but all that is is just Christ’s Spirit. It’s the feeling of His love, and God’s love for us that we can feel really strong as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, and this is what we try to share with the world year round. Every day we just want to let others know that Christ lives and to help them to feel and recognize the love He has for them and to help everyone come closer to Him.

I love this season and I love my Savior, and I know that He lives and loves each and every one of us more that we can comprehend and that He wants us to come closer to Him and to make it back to live with our Heavenly Father again, and that He wants us to help each other as much as we can to return to live with God.

I love all of you a lot and hope things go well for you!
Elder Hayden
